The Jinding Branch is located in the core area of the first floor of the Jinding Intelligent Manufacturing Building, with an exhibition area of about 480 square meters. Through physical exhibits, historical pictures, documentary materials, scene restoration, character sculptures, artistic reliefs and multimedia technology, it vividly presents the evolution of Shaxi's clothing industry, including the folk craft of hemp weaving in the Song and Yuan Dynasties, the prosperous cloth trade in the Ming and Qing Dynasties, the rise of township enterprises after the reform and opening up, the grand occasion of the China (Shaxi) Leisure Clothing Expo for ten consecutive years, and the current new stage of intelligent production.

According to historical materials excavated by the exhibition hall, the earliest clothing production activities in Shaxi Town can be traced back to the Song Dynasty. Legend has it that at that time, a woman named Du from Yongbian Village in Shaxi Town often spun hemp by the water (twisting hemp thread, the first step in weaving hemp cloth). She used the money raised from spinning hemp to build the Dupo Bridge, which is also the oldest bridge in Zhongshan.

"Shaxi will take the successful opening of the Clothing History Exhibition Hall (Jinding Branch) as an opportunity to further promote the branding, internationalization and high-end development of the clothing industry, and strive to create a fashion capital with greater international influence." Li Yubin, deputy secretary of the Party Committee of Shaxi Town, introduced that the exhibition hall has innovatively created a "cultural exhibition + industrial sightseeing" in-depth experience mode, and specially planned a tour route to connect the exhibition hall and Jinding Intelligent Manufacturing Modern Intelligent Workshop, forming a "historical corridor-craft decoding-intelligent manufacturing exploration" trinity characteristic cultural tourism space. From the specially restored ancient textile scenes to the modern high-end clothing intelligent manufacturing workshop, it directly shows the inheritance and innovation of textile technology, and at the same time presents the profound heritage of Shaxi clothing culture and the latest achievements of digital transformation.

"The creation of this exhibition hall is mainly due to the love and feelings for Shaxi clothing." Deng Jun, general manager of Jinding Intelligent Manufacturing, introduced that when he first arrived in Shaxi more than 20 years ago, he was deeply impressed by the local slogan "Look at Shaxi for casual clothing", and devoted himself to the clothing manufacturing industry, step by step developing Jinding Intelligent Manufacturing into the leading enterprise of Shaxi clothing today. By chance, Jinding Intelligent Manufacturing hit it off with Shaxi Town officials, industry and private individuals and decided to build the Shaxi Clothing History Exhibition Hall. Multiple parties jointly collected historical materials and designed the exhibition hall, and Jinding Intelligent Manufacturing took the initiative to use the first floor of the new park for the construction of the exhibition hall.

"Shaxi has such good things, which are useless to keep at home. We should take them out for more people to see." Liu Wanliang, a villager in Yunhan Village, Shaxi Town, who loves collecting old objects, donated the "out-of-print" clothes that his grandmother had worn to the exhibition hall. This set of clothes was produced in Kanxi Village, Shaxi Town in the 1940s, and the raw materials used were mosquito net cloth that is no longer used today. "Collecting is my hobby. I have also donated items to Zhongshan Museum and Shengshi Village History Museum, hoping to leave "material evidence" of history for future generations." Liu Wanliang said.
